Electronic and mechanical design
This is a fundamental process within product engineering so as to be able to develop products with enhanced features and high added value.
We provide the following services within this line of work:
- Conceptual definition of machines and systems
- Development of new products based on new functionalities and criteria: performance, productivity, electromagnetic compatibility, power efficiency, safety, etc.
- Design and development of mechanisms and components
- Design of embedded systems based on completely customised microcontrollers
- Design, development and validation of electronic circuits (PCBs)
Automation of industrial processes
Automation of industrial processes enables companies to optimize resources, add value to their facilities, improve productivity, reduce costs and, in short, obtain returns on their manufacturing processes.
At PRODINTEC, we assume the complete or partial automation of industrial processes via the integration of actuators, sensors, PLCs, communication systems, robotics, artificial vision, etc., as well as the development of customised applications for instrumentation, control and measurement (man-machine interfaces in a graphic environment, data acquisition, process control, etc.).
Calculation and simulation
PRODINTEC´s staff has the necessary knowledge and tools to perform a broad range of calculations and simulations, thus allowing us to:
- Know how a component or system behaves without the need to make physical prototypes, thus reducing the associated costs.
- Carry out simulations of situations that are difficult to test physically.
- Reduce the time needed to launch a new product, since a great deal of the time employed in manufacturing test prototypes is eliminated.
Prototype construction and validation
The construction and validation of a new product in the most realistic service conditions possible is fundamental to commence the phase of manufacturing in series and commercialization with all the necessary guarantees.
At PRODINTEC, we carry out:
- The design of the tests to perform.
- The construction of prototypes or scale models, both of components and complete systems, supported by PRODINTEC´s Manufacturing Technologies Area.
- The processes of product testing and validation.
Success story
Goals: to design a new cutting system as an alternative to the chainsaw cutting system used up until now, which required sharpening every two hours, with the resulting economic cost and reduction in hours the machine was working.
