ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING IN FP7 AND HORIZON 2020

This report summarises the first dedicated Workshop held by the European Commission (EC) on Additive Manufacturing (AM).

AM (which includes 3D-Printing) is not a new phenomenon, but it is currently receiving considerable interest on a global scale and important investments at international level are taking place.

The purpose of the workshop was to reach a better understanding of the needs of the AM sector beyond the technological developments and to evaluate how the current barriers could be removed for further development of the AM technologies.
