Optimisation of reference changeover operations for Cartonajes Vir
Goals: to reduce the time needed to change one reference for another on a cardboard punching-folding machine.
The identification and elimination of the operations that add no value to reference changeover operations of Cartonajes Vir (downtime and unnecessary movement of personnel), by applying Lean Manufacturing techniques thereby achieved benefits (quantifiable on the part of the firm) of a 50% reduction in changeover times and a 33% increase in production capacity.
